Halloween : {

"Trick or treat, smell my feet.Give me something good to eat.If you don't, I won't be sad.I'll just make you wish you had!"

This is saying that could only mean one thing, which is that Halloween is coming. Halloween, which is one of my favorite holidays, always seems to be a memorable day. This is one day where nothing could ever be too weird and where nothing could ever be too funny. Though I love the weird and funny of Halloween. One of the greatest things I like about the holiday is the scary aspect of everything. I love getting a good scare on Halloween or any day as long as it is all in fun. Whether I see a Michael Myers walking around or a zombie, or a gory dead looking person I will definitely get frightened with the few minutes of looking at the horrid site, but after comprehending the knowledge that it is all fake, I enjoy to see such sites.

Costumes were always a favorite part of this holiday for me, besides the candy. The costumes are such a unique thing to see. Though each year you get your few costumes that you see at every corner you turn, there are still some creative and imaginary costumes that I love looking for every year. My mother being one to dress my brothers and I in the unusual attire, I have grown to like seeing unusual costumes. Now instead of wearing the costumes and going trick or treating I have grown like parents, and have begun to like searching for great costumes. This was a phase I thought I would never want to be part of. Halloween to me was to dress up and get candy and anything else was a bunch of nonsense to me. This is a tradition I wish I would never had to grow out of. Though now I can’t enjoy Halloween the way that I used to, it is still a favorite holiday and I think it always will be.

Memories are Everything

Memories are things that last a lifetime...or at least to me they do. I think memories are a very important thing to a person that could bring back amazing times in ones life. I am always finding myself looking my favorite times with my grandfather. I look at unbelievably happy memories to find a time when my grandfather was alive and well. As I look back at specific memories, for a split second I think my grandfather is still alive and with me. This is the brief joy I get out of memories and hope that I always will because the times I spent with my grandfather were terrific whether it was a good time or a bad time where lessons were learned.

Memories from when I was younger seem so wonderful and timeless. Looking back on times when I was young and seeing the person I was I enjoy thinking I still am that innocent shy little girl where trouble was never to be found and where problems of the world were no problems of mine. Though I obviously am not exactly the same as when I was a child, I still do find aspects that make me the same great person that I believe I am.

Memories are everything. They are everything I am now. They are everything I was then. They are everything the world is.

Fictional Adventure Books = Happy ME

I may seem weird to some for saying such but I love books. Not all books, but only the kinds that interest me, such as fictional books, adventure books, fantasy books, and anything that's really creative and fun to read.

I love books because my mind loves to wander into the unknown worlds that books usually portray. They take me away from reality which I sometimes need. I love and could only wish to have a chance to experience some of the things I have read.

My all-time favorite book series is Harry Potter. The author J.K. Rowling is such an amazing author writing such a complex yet comforting and extremely satisfying story that is a favorite of both young, old, and whomever else in between. This series is one to never be forgotten and I think many to come will love reading it as well. I love this series because its such a magical world of everything a kid has ever dreamed of, besides the unfortunate trouble that Harry faces.

The final book she wrote of the Harry Potter series Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows was absolutlely outstanding and completely satifying. She did an amazing job making this book as great as the last six. This one possibly being my favorite(or maybe not its too hard to choose from out of them seven). J.K. Rowling left you with a great ending which undeniably you wanted more to come, but she also left you with a perfect understanding and complete ending which didn't need any more explaining.

Greek Life

The first couple days of college I found miserable because I barely knew anybody, so when I heard about Greek life I jumped at the chance just hoping to meet new people. I knew getting involved is a major part of what makes your school life amazing, so when I realized Greek life was the major thing at my college I realized I had to at least check it out.

Joining a Greek organization was something I never had in my head until actually going to college one day and ending up at a Greek life meeting later on that evening. I have heard plenty about Greek life over the years, and never pictured myself becoming involved in any thing of that sort. Fraternities and sororities were only things I was used to seeing on television and in teen movies, but as I got to realize for myself what Greek life was I quickly wanted to know more and more about Greek life. I realized that its about helping your community and helping each other. I like that alot because I am always looking for some good to do in the world.

As I kept going to meeting after meeting, I eventually kept getting closer to becoming a member of Greek life before I knew it. Going to meet the different sororities and girls was something that was very different and something I would never have done.Soon enough though I realized how close the girls are to each other and how the girls in the sorority are almost like family and then i knew that the decision I made of was a good one. I love my family and my family is a very important aspect of my life, so having a second famild would be amazing.
Now actually a member of a sorority going through the whole process of getting in, I have gianed a numerous amount of friendships and a numerous amount of sisters that have definitely became a wonderful part of my life.

College is not high school

The first day of college was very interesting. For once in my life I wasn't nervous going to school on the first day, but later on after the first day of college and the first week I realized I should be. I didn't know anyone and didn't know how the whole college atmosphere worked, so as i walked from class to class I got nervous. Leaving my first class I was oblivious to what the teacher had said and nervous about the syllabus that i received. I have never had a syllabus before that, so I vastly became overwhelmed by this. There was so much work crammed into the syllabus and I had no idea when everything was going to get done. I was always given project and assignments a couple weeks or a month before it was due, but having it all put out on the first day of class put alot of stress on my shoulders.

This was quite different from high school because in high school I would do absolutely nothing for the first couple days, but now I had to be ready and able to work in class on the first day. Another thing that is different about school is that they definitely dont baby you in college, which could possibly be good or bad. You are definitely given a big chance to grow up in college which I like, but I dislike that you sometimes have to figure out things out on your own. I am the kind of person that needs things set out crystal clear and in some classes I haven't received that.

Now having been almost a month into the school year I have learned how to juggle everything and have learned to figure things out on my own. School has finally turned out better than I ever imaged and am now happy to be a college student.

"Why I Write"

“Why I Write”
Writing is a unique tool that we are lucky to have. Writing can show all about who people are and what they believe. I write for many different reasons and in many different ways and I believe I write based on how I feel at the moment. I write based on my personality, my culture, my language, and overall my personal learning experiences over the years. I mostly write to speak truth, other times I might be creative and write fictionally. I’ll write to embark in an endless unrealistic adventure, or I’ll write to learn from possible mistakes.
I write to express my feelings and ideas toward people and situations, which is probably why many people write, but I do so in my own way. I write to show my intelligence as a person and to show my perspective on how I see things and how I see others. When I write I try to share what I’m talking about to the reader so it is understandable and interesting, as well to get my point across. I usually write to share insight on my interests and me. I write to show my enthusiasm about what I’m talking about. I try to be creative and fun so that I enjoy writing.
My favorite thing to write is fiction because I love to be creative and come up with the impossible. Fictional writing has endless possibilities, which you could have so much fun with. I like to dream big and pretend to believe in something such as dragons or magic, so writing fictionally makes me do this. This is what and why I particularly love write.
Overall writing to me is a way of reflecting my ideas and my beliefs that are possibly different from others, but that doesn’t make a difference because that’s why my writing is mine. My writing shows how I think and how I perceive things and ideas. My writing reflects my life experiences and my learning experiences. My writing reflects my dreams and ambitions as well as reality. This is “why I write.”
